Holiday Club, Day 1 – 5 Oct 2015

We had 38-kids registered on Day 1, ranging from ages 6-14. The majority come from Wembezi and Zwelisha, the rural and suburban areas on the outskirts of Estcourt city. The theme for the day was about ‘wisdom’. Solomon’s story  in which two mothers claimed ownership of the same baby was used (I Kings 3:16-28). It illustrated how Solomon was able to resolve a difficult situation because God has imparted unto him great wisdom. Adults narrated and acted out the story. The craft for the day was to, using pegs, make a hot-pot stand. Older kids stayed back for an additional hour to learn English & Maths. Others chose to spend their time learning and practising how to use a computer from our computer lab.
