Buhle’s Theological Training
Buhle is a member of the Zionist Church. He moved from Johannesburg to Estcourt in June last year and has been staying with us. One of the main reasons for moving to Estcourt was discipleship and his desire to pursue theological studies. Since his move, he has been doing the EXPLORE Correspondence Course offered by George Whitefield College where Lungi and I were trained. He completed the first module called ‘EXPLORE The Bible’ which basically gives an overview of the Bible. Then he enrolled on the ‘EXPLORE The Life Of Jesus’ and, Lord willing, he will be writing the exam on WED 27 May. During his stay with us, we have not only been blessed with observing his intellectual and academic abilities, but also to bear witness to his growth, love for the Word and the exemplary lifestyle he leads at home and in his interaction with the members of the Zionist Church where he currently serves as the Youth Chairperson. As part of his discipleship, he has shown amazing gifts and great strengths which he demonstrated, not only in his learning abilities, but also in the execution of certain tasks assigned to him by the leadership here at Estcourt Community Church.
Over the past few months, we had been praying that the Lord would make it clear how He wants to use Buhle for the extension of His Kingdom. And thankfully, Buhle has confirmed that he feels the Lord’s calling into full-time ministry amongst the Zionists. To be equipped for the task, he wants to set aside and devote a few years of his life to full-time theological studies. In response, we are in the process of locating an institution where he could possibly receiving the appropriate training for Word ministry. One of the institutions we have been looking at is London Theological Seminary (LTS), where Pastor Clinton Stone from Mooi River Baptist Church was trained. We have submitted the application forms, and just two weeks ago, Buhle conducted a telephone interview with the Principal, and it went really well. The next step in the application process requires that Buhle writes and pass the English proficiency test, which is both LTS and a UK government requirement. These results are crucial as they will fast track the processing of his application and determine its outcome. So, as we move forward and seek the Lord’s guidance concerning Buhle’s life, we value your prayers and support.
