Latest re-visa application
Lungi, Lwethu and I drove to the US Embassy offices Durban this morning for an interview. Durban is approx. 2-hours south of Estcourt. Our appointment was at 9:30. So we left town at 7am hoping to have about half an hour to stop on the way for breakfast. We arrived in Durban just after 9am only to find the offices almost 45-minutes later. Many roads in Durban have been renamed. We’re looking for Prixley kaSeme Street (formerly called West Street) and the closest Prixley kaSeme Street my GPS could locate was in the Free State, +-500 km away. It couldn’t locate the US Embassy building even after changing the search criteria many times. We decided to ask…and thankfully, we finally made it. And the time was 10:15. We submitted the documents and within an hour, we’re out. So we’re so grateful that our visa applications to travel to the US in June-July have been approved. As soon as we receive our passports back (within the next 2-3 days) we’ll book our tickets. Praise God.
